The Handbook will not be a simple document (e.g pdf) file but also an e-book which will be available for all kind of mobile devices (e.g laptops, tablets, smartphones etc).The e-book version of the handbook will be produced by Developmental Centre of Thessaly as the ICT expert partner of our partnership. Special mentioned should be made in the new approaches of prevention and treatment which will be proposed under the framework of our project and be included in the handbook. These approaches will be based on partnership experiences on the phenomenon and mainly in the results of the social research to be conducted by our project (intellectual Output O1). The handbook will be developed under the logic of OER so to be freely accessible by all interested parties and individuals.
The development of the Handbook will be based both on the findings of social research and on information, awareness and training material developed during previous intellectual outputs and will contain and new developed chapters such us:
– Understanding internet behavior and addiction
– Types of internet addiction
– Clinical symptoms and Psychosocial consequences of the Internet addiction disorder
– Diagnostic instruments for Internet addiction (among other Diagnostic instruments in this chapter of the handbook the developed under our project relevant scientific questionnaire will be presented and analyzed)
– Prevention methods of the Internet addiction disorder (in this chapter apart of the ordinary prevention methods a new approach will be analyzed as derived from the Social research to be conducted in the framework of our project)
– Internet Addiction disorder (IAD) in the countries of the partner and in EU (for the needs of this chapter the related comprehensive analysis developed during activity O2/A1 will be presented and analyzed)
– Methodology for the Assessment of the Internet Addiction Disorder
– Treatment methods of the Internet Addiction Disorder (in this chapter apart of the ordinary prevention methods a new approach will be analyzed as derived from the Social research to be conducted in the framework of our project)
